We believe in the importance of hands-on activities to engage and retain learning. Our goal is to offer a variety of interactive interpretive displays that stimulate learning about the biology, ecology, and conservation of owls as well as the cultural roles they have played throughout the world's history. World Owl Hall of Fame winners (both humans and owls) will be featured in a series of ever-changing displays to help visitors understand the challenges that owls face around the world and what is being done to help them. We also plan to host various traveling exhibits to provide a reason for visitors to return again and again.

Our Mission

The International Owl Center advances the survival of wild owl populations through education and research. We plan to accomplish our mission through biological and cultural programs and displays, green building design, citizen-science and other research, international exchange of information, the World Owl Hall of Fame, the International Festival of Owls, and other means.
